| Energy begins to channel into Fury's palm, creating a glow around his hand. A wicked grin appears across his face and he tightens his grip on Rikali's neck further. The collecting energy starts to reach burning temperatures and steam rises from between Fury's fingers. |

Rikali gasps for breathe, tears streaking down her face from the pain. She digs her long nails into Fury's arm, trying to rip him off.

| The bullet tears into Fury's arm and swings it around as metal rips through muscle and severes tendon. It drills into the bone and breaks it in half, shattering the point of impact into tiny pieces resembling splinters, some of which are forced out of the skin as the bullet exits. With the connective tissues of his arm destroyed, his hand, still swinging around towards his back from the force of the shot, goes limp and releases Rikali, effectively tossing her at a nearby tree. |

Fury's good arm shoots up and stops less than a foot from Gale's chest. In a flash, a tiny blast of highly concentrated energy forms in his palm and fires straight into Gale's rib cage. The blast is one of Fury's distinctive moves, never meant to be used at this range. Gale would know that... All the more shock in the seconds that follow. |

Rikali, cursing and coughing, rubs her battered throat and slowly stands. Agonizing pain tells her that Fury-Nyx?-had broken a couple ribs. The combantion leaves her incrediably unable to breath. She sinks back to the ground and passes out.
Rose leaps out of a tree and crashes into Fury's chest. She attempts to dig her nails into his face. |

Too weak to even move, Karakuri looked around pitfully at the bizarre scene
that now surrounded her. Catching sight of Zander once more, she did her best to
try and make use of her telepathic power, even though she knew it would drain her
more just to use it. Sending a strong message to him, Karakuri pleadingly stated:
"I know not what drives this sudden storm of violence, but I do not wish to be a part
of it, nor do I wish to be dragged into it somehow. I need healing, and quickly, or I fear
that I shall indeed perish nigh - whether I happen to be part demon or not. There's not
much time.....I grow weaker by the minute, almost as if my wound had been caused by
art of magic and not the Kwan Dao of some confused and biased villager as it was..." |

Zander focused his enerhy on Kara and healed her from where he was at. He then spoke to her in her mind.

Her strength quickly returning to her, she then used telepathy to reply back to Zander:
"I understand how you must feel, but I would only do it if there was no other way. As for your
healing me, I thank you greatly. Now I can be of use to the others in this wretched mess."
With catlike agility, Karakuri leaped down from her treetop perch and began to look over at
Gale where he'd fallen and saw that Fury was standing there leering at him. Though she badly
wished to go help the fallen warrior, she whisked her tail around and rushed over to where poor
Rikali stuck in a tree and proceeded to try and help her get down safely. As she got her
down into her arms, she quietly whispered to Rose:
"Don't make too much noise - wouldn't want that guy to think of wreaking havoc on us. Are you
allright, though? Hope that you're not too badly injured." |

Zander's eyes started to change back and forth. He was trying his best to keep the demon inside him when he then heard a voice.
Xandox: 'Look what we have hear.'
He let out a evil laugh.
X'Little brother on the ground...If your mother say you see would...'
Zander swong his fist up at Xandox hitting his gut.
"Never speak of my mother again...I know you are the one that killed her." |

FINAL RUN
"Heh... Yes, this is very amusing. Now, what if I did... This?"
The glowing white light that concealed Fury's eyes fades back to his normal pupils and his tension disappears. Then the pain hits him like a brick wall going sixty. Simultaneously, each of his wounds--The two shots in his left shoulder, the shot in his lower right arm, the stab in his back reaching into his right lung, and the smashed back of his head--open up and let loose streams of blood. He stumbles backwards, fresh blood running down his face, and falls onto his back from the sheer force of the sudden barrage of pain. |

| Gale's hatred consumes his soul and mind, trapped due to his immobilization, unable to be expressed. "Nyx you fucking traitor. I swear that I will find you, and I will KILL you." Despite being able to use telepathy, Gale twitches on the ground, seemingly dead. |

Unable to make his eyes focus on anything, Fury stares up into the canopy of the forest. Despite his numbed senses, he hears Gale and shakily raises his right arm a few inches.
The sun was rapidly setting, painting the land a pastel orange color. The evening fog that was beginning to form amoungst the trees picks up the light and the entire forest takes on an orange tint. Some twenty feet behind the group, a pair of glowing red eyes move into view in the ambient darkness and fog. Nyx's voice speaks to Gale's back. "This worked out nicely." |

| "What ever happend to brotherly love?" There was a hint of sarcasm in the remark, but Gale was partly serious. "Be great if YOU could control those demons. Damnit, you're giving me an explenation when we get back." Gale carefully lifts Fury up and props him against a tree. He ripped the sleeve of his under-shirt and ripped it again to make it longer. He carefully raps it around his head, being the worst wound. He uses his other sleeve as well, giving Fury something of a turban. "My good deed is done, though you're gonna need some help relatively soon." |

Riki groans and opens her eyes. A fresh wave of pain hits her and she is out again. A couple moments later, she wakes up again. Riki continues to drift in and out of conciousness.
Rose stares at Fury. She shrugs and glances at Gale. |

Karakuri could tell that Rikali wasn't really able to speak to her right now in her
condition, and felt that the best thing she could do for now was to try and take the
injured woman someplace safer than this and far away from any more fighting.
Though it was hard due to her not judging Rikali's total weight, Karakuri did her very
best to carry Rikali slung over one shoulder back to the cave she hid in previously.
"Please don't struggle much, you'll only injure yourself further. I can understand if you
desire to join the others in battle, but right now that's not such a good idea. You need to
get healed - and there's no chance of that if you stay where all the fighting's going on."
Laying Rikali down against a rocky wall of the cave, Karakuri tried to see if she could try
and stave off most of the woman's wounds until proper help could be given to her. Then a
great idea popped into her head. Remembering the words of the mysterious stranger who'd
helped her earlier, about using her fire abilities to heal, she figured she might as well give it
a try and see if it was worth it. Isolating the worst of Rikali's wounds, Karakuri focused her
fire power into one of her index fingers and proceeded to use it to cauterize them all. Once
she was satisfied that she'd sealed up the most life-threatening wounds, she tried to give
some TLC and comfort to the injured woman while keeping her long-pointed ears alert to
the sounds of battle going on nearby. |

Fury groans and tries to rest, forcing himself to relax against the constant barrage of fear, pain, and adrenaline.
Just as silence was beginning to set in, the sound of a blade leaving it's leather sheathe breaks the calm. The glowing eyes--Nyx--takes a step forward out of the brush and into view. "Hello, Gale." |

| Gale turns to Nyx and Sin is in his hand in a instant. His eyes lock with Nyx's. Malice and rage burn in them, but Gale's movements are calm. "I should of known you'd betray me, you bastard." |
